Ottawa, the capital of Canada, is a picturesque city with beautiful waterways, historic architecture, and an abundance of parklands and open spaces. A population of 1,200,000 makes Ottawa the fourth-largest urban centre in Canada. It is a bilingual city (French and English) and many of the amenities can offer service in a variety of languages.

Many visit the city for its unparalleled lineup of museums, galleries and festivals and Ottawa is a natural for sports, recreation, and outdoor pursuits, with its beautiful natural setting of waterways, parks and pathways. In this stress-free urban setting you can find fine dining, relaxing spas and a variety of shopping experiences before heading out for a night of entertainment and cultural events. It is the perfect location to visit for business and pleasure.

In the fall, particularly, under the vibrant colours of autumn, there are some memorable activities to include in travel plans such as “Fall Rhapsody” tours and activities and menus featuring local harvest products at Ottawa restaurants under the Savour Ottawa initiative.

Ottawa is home to Canada’s federal government and over 1,000 associations. Known as 'Silicon Valley North', the city supports many large information technology giants. The many government, industry and academia groups interested in information security, coupled with all of the amenities the city has to offer, promises to deliver an exciting, successful conference.
